These are the questions renters ask before they book a porta potty in St. Peters and the St. Louis area. Each answer gives the number first, then the conditions. Pick a topic to jump straight to it, or call and ask a person.
Porta potty rental booking and delivery timing
How far ahead should I book a porta potty?
Book 2 to 3 days ahead for a normal weekday or weekend. Book 2 to 4 weeks ahead for graduation season in May, the Fourth of July, Labor Day and October wedding weekends. Same-day delivery is possible when you call by noon, but holiday weekends can sell out.
What's the latest I can call to get a unit for tomorrow?
Call by 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday, for next-day delivery within about 30 miles of St. Peters. There is no rush fee for next-day. Saturday calls get Monday delivery unless you need Saturday or Sunday use, in which case ask for a Saturday same-day drop.
Can you tell me what time the driver will arrive?
You choose a morning window (7 to 11 a.m.) or an afternoon window (11 a.m. to 3 p.m.). The driver texts about 30 minutes before arriving. An exact minute is not promised, because the route depends on traffic and the stops before yours.
Do I need to be there when they drop it off?
Nobody has to be there. Mark the spot with a flag, chalk or a lawn chair, or text a photo. Add gate codes and pet notes. The driver sends a photo of the placed unit when the drop is done.
Can you deliver it the day before my event?
Day-before delivery is the normal plan for events and costs nothing extra. The event price covers up to 7 days, so a Friday drop for a Saturday party, or a Saturday drop for a Sunday event, is included.
What information do you need to book?
Booking takes about 3 minutes on the phone. Have the address or a map pin, the delivery and pickup dates, and the unit type and count. Add the guest count or crew size, a phone number that takes texts, and a card or company billing details.
The site doesn't have an address. Can I send a pin?
A map pin works. Text the pin plus a short note such as 'second gate past the barn' or 'lot 14, stake with orange tape.' New-build lots, farm fields and parks are delivered this way all the time.
Can you deliver to a park or public place?
Delivery to a park or public site is possible when the property owner allows it. City parks in St. Peters, O'Fallon and St. Charles have their own event rules, so get approval from the parks office first and share any placement map they give you.
Same-day and weekend service
Can I get a porta potty today?
Call by noon, Monday through Saturday, and a unit can be delivered today to addresses within about 30 miles of St. Peters. The same-day fee is $50. That covers all of St. Charles County and most of St. Louis County and St. Louis City.
Do you deliver on Saturdays?
Saturday delivery and pickup are part of the regular schedule, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. delivery windows. There is no weekend surcharge.
Do you deliver on Sundays?
Trucks do not run on Sunday. Sunday events get a Friday or Saturday delivery and a Monday pickup, at the regular event price.
Is it more money to drop it a day early?
Dropping a unit a day early is free. The event price covers up to 7 days on site.
It's a holiday weekend. Do you have anything available?
Holiday weekends book up first, so call as early as you can. If the schedule is full on the day you want, the dispatcher will offer the closest open drop, such as Thursday instead of Friday, at the same price.
Can you come at night?
Deliveries run in daytime windows only, ending by 3 p.m., for safety and so the unit can be placed where you want it. For evening events, schedule the drop the same morning or the day before.
Prices and fees
How much does a standard porta potty cost?
A standard porta potty costs $165 for an event lasting up to 7 days, or $149 per 28 days with weekly service for long-term use, within 25 miles of St. Peters. Long-term rentals add a one-time $65 for delivery and pickup.
How much would two units and a hand-wash station be?
Two standard units and one hand-wash station cost $465 for an event within 25 miles of St. Peters: $165 + $165 + $135. Delivery and pickup are included. Tax, where it applies, is added on the quote.
Do you rent by the hour?
Porta potties are not rented by the hour. The shortest rental is the event price, which covers up to 7 days, so a 3-hour party and a 3-day weekend cost the same.
Is there a delivery fee?
Delivery and pickup are included in event prices within 25 miles of St. Peters. Monthly rentals add a one-time $65 for delivery and pickup. Addresses farther out add a one-time $45 (26–50 miles) or $85 (51–80 miles).
Are there hidden fees like fuel or card fees?
There is no fuel surcharge, card fee or removal fee. The only possible extras are same-day delivery ($50), distance charges, extra service visits ($55) and sales tax where it applies, and each one is listed on the quote before you book.
Do you have a price list I can see?
The full price list is on the porta potty rental cost page, including event prices, monthly prices and every fee. No phone tree stands between you and a price.
Can you email or text me the quote so I can get it approved?
Every quote is sent by text, and by email on request, with each line item shown. Forward it to a spouse, church board, sponsor or project manager. Nothing is charged until you approve and book.
Do churches or nonprofits get a discount?
Churches, schools and registered nonprofits get 10 percent off the unit price on any order. Orders of 5 or more units at one address also get 10 percent off.
Is a restroom trailer priced per day?
Restroom trailers are priced per weekend, not per day. A 2-stall trailer starts at $895, a 3-stall is $1,295 and a 4-stall is $1,695, with setup and pickup included within 25 miles.
Billing and payment
How does monthly billing work?
Long-term rentals bill every 28 days, starting on delivery day. Weekly service is included. Billing stops the day you call or text for pickup, and unused days in the last cycle are credited back.
Do I have to pay up front?
Event rentals are paid when you book. Monthly rentals pay the first 28-day cycle plus delivery and pickup at booking. Approved business accounts can use net-30 invoicing instead.
What payment methods do you take?
Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express and debit cards are accepted with no card fee. Businesses can also pay by company check or apply for net-30 invoicing.
Can I pay later or when the unit is delivered?
A card is held at booking to reserve the unit and the truck slot. For businesses that need a purchase order first, net-30 invoicing is available after a short credit check.
Is there a contract I have to sign?
There is no long-term contract. You approve a short rental agreement by text link, which covers dates, price, placement and the rental terms. You can end a monthly rental any day by calling for pickup.
Can I prepay for several months?
Prepaying several 28-day cycles is available for long projects. Unused full cycles are refunded when you call for pickup early.
Units and what's inside
What is inside a standard porta potty?
A standard porta potty has a toilet seat over a 60-gallon tank, a urinal, a vent pipe, a two-roll toilet paper holder, a hand sanitizer dispenser and a coat hook. The door locks from inside with an occupied sign.
Do you have porta potties with a sink?
The deluxe flushing unit has a sink inside, plus a foot-pump flush. Another option is a separate two-sink hand-wash station placed next to standard units.
Do you have handicap accessible porta potties?
Wheelchair-accessible units have a ground-level roll-in floor, handrails and a 32-inch door. People often call them ADA or handicap porta potties. One costs $235 for an event.
Do you have the porta-trailers with several stalls?
Restroom trailers come in 2-, 3- and 4-stall sizes with flush toilets, sinks, mirrors, lights and AC. They need a 110-volt, 20-amp outlet within 100 feet and a garden-hose spigot.
Are event units newer or cleaner than construction units?
Event units are pressure-washed, sanitized and inspected before every delivery, and units with scuffs or graffiti stay on construction routes. Every unit leaves the yard stocked with toilet paper and sanitizer.
Can I see a picture of the unit?
Real photos are on each unit page, such as the standard porta potty and restroom trailer pages. Ask during your call and photos of the exact unit type can be texted to you.
Is there hand sanitizer in every unit?
Every toilet has a hand sanitizer dispenser, filled on delivery and refilled at each service.
Do you rent high-rise or crane-lift units?
Crane-lift units are not part of the regular fleet. For high-rise jobs, call and we will tell you honestly whether we can help or who can.
Cleaning and servicing
How often do you clean the porta potty?
Long-term rentals are serviced once a week. Each visit pumps the tank, scrubs and sanitizes surfaces, restocks toilet paper and refills sanitizer. Extra visits cost $55.
Is servicing automatic or do I schedule it?
Weekly service is automatic on a set route day. Nobody has to call or be on site. The driver logs each visit on the door tag.
Can I skip the weekly cleaning if nobody uses it much?
Weekly service stays on for long rentals, because tanks and paper need checking even with light use, and summer heat makes odor build fast. If a site goes idle for two weeks or more, a pickup and re-delivery costs less than paying for idle weeks.
Can you service it in the middle of a multi-day event?
Mid-event service is $55 per unit per visit. Multi-day festivals, tournaments and competitions usually book one visit each night between event days.
Do you pump out porta potties I already own?
Service is provided only for our own rental units. For customer-owned units, RV tanks or septic tanks, a licensed septic hauler is the right call.
Where does the waste go?
Waste is hauled to a permitted wastewater treatment facility. Missouri counts portable-toilet waste as septage, which is regulated by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
Placement, access and your property
Where should the porta potty go?
Place the porta potty on firm, level ground the truck can reach, about 20 to 50 feet from food or seating, with the door facing away from the crowd. Driveways, side yards and gravel pads work best.
Can you put it in my backyard?
A standard unit can be rolled on a dolly up to about 100 feet over firm, level ground into a backyard, if the gate is at least 48 inches wide. The truck stays on pavement. Steep, soft or stepped paths need a driveway spot instead.
Will the truck damage my driveway or lawn?
The truck stays on paved or gravel surfaces and never drives on lawns. Units are rolled on a dolly. If the ground is soaked, the driver will place the unit on the nearest firm surface and text you.
How much room does the truck need?
The delivery truck needs a path about 10 feet wide with 12 feet of clearance under branches and wires. Restroom trailers need a longer straight approach and a level 10 × 25-foot spot.
Can I move the unit myself after it's dropped?
Moving a unit yourself is at your own risk, and a unit moved beyond hose reach of the truck cannot be serviced. Ask for a free re-placement on the next service day instead.
What if it's windy where I need it?
On open lots and fields, units can be staked or strapped at no charge. Ask for it when booking. Missouri spring storms are the main reason units tip.
Will it smell?
A serviced porta potty has a vent pipe and deodorizer in the tank, so odor stays low. Place it in partial shade in summer, away from patio seating, and keep the lid closed. Weekly service handles the rest.
Permits, HOAs and rules
Do I need a permit for a porta potty in my driveway?
A unit on your own driveway or yard usually needs no city permit in St. Charles County towns. A unit in the street or public right-of-way may need city approval. Check with your city's public works or engineering office.
Does my HOA allow a porta potty?
Many subdivisions have HOA or trustee rules about temporary structures, especially for rentals longer than a few days. A weekend party rarely causes trouble. For a long remodel, check your indentures and place the unit beside the garage.
Do events in St. Peters need a permit?
Block parties in St. Peters need a permit at least 2 weeks ahead, and events in city parks follow Parks, Recreation & Arts rules. See the St. Peters permit page.
What does OSHA require for job sites?
OSHA 29 CFR 1926.51 requires 1 toilet for 20 or fewer workers and 1 seat plus 1 urinal per 40 workers above that. See the sizing guide for the full table.
Security, damage and weather
Can I get a lock for the porta potty?
A combination lock is free on request. You can also use your own padlock; remove it before service and pickup days.
What happens if someone vandalizes it overnight?
Normal wear is covered. Vandalism, fire and deliberate damage are the renter's responsibility, priced at repair cost. A free lock and placement close to a house or light reduces the risk.
Do porta potties freeze in winter?
From November through March, brine antifreeze is added at every service at no extra charge, so the tank does not freeze. Hand-wash stations can freeze in hard cold, so ask about winter options before renting one.
What about summer heat?
St. Louis summers average highs near 89°F in July. Place units in shade when possible. Busy summer sites and events may need an extra service visit to keep odor down.
What if it floods or storms?
Units in low ground near the Missouri, Mississippi or Meramec rivers can be moved to higher ground or picked up early before a crest. Call as soon as the forecast turns.
Pickup, changes and cancellation
How do I schedule pickup?
Call or text (636) 200-9131 and ask for pickup. You get a text confirming the request, and billing stops that day. The driver picks up on the next route day, usually the next business day.
Can I cancel?
Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before delivery. For a later change, call or text (636) 200-9131 as early as you can.
Can I change the date after booking?
Date changes are free when there is space on the schedule for the new date. Call or text as soon as you know.
Can I add a unit after it's delivered?
Adding a unit is easy. It rides on the next route to your address, and the add-on is priced at the same unit rate.
Do you pick it up the day after my event?
Event units are picked up on the next route day after the event, usually the following business day. Sunday event units are picked up Monday.
